Assalamualaikum(greetings of peace)
Why blogging?
I guess this was the question that kept on running in my head before,
that stopped me from blogging..
As the greatest creation of Allah, human beings are given the greatest faculty which is the mind- to reason, ponder and think,
we reason before doing things..
besides,why waste your time doing things when you could not see the benefit of doing it?sometimes, I question myself :'am I reasoning or actually trying to find an excuse not to do or believe in something?'
It fascinates me a lot when I realized my capability and others'around me to reason and find many excuses to justify our actions and beliefs..
Isn't this another prove of His greatness..
Our mind is a tool that is given by ALLAH in His INFINITE MERCY,
to help us in our quest for the truth in/about life..
why start blogging?
for me,i just figured out that blogging is a way for me to share the lessons of life and Islam with others..
but the most important reason is for me to learn about Islam and life myself..
i am a person who values that 'actions speak louder than words'(whether written or spoken)
'Practice what you preach' is a value that we all should live with..
and as i will be posting articles about Islam and life( with Allah's will), i pray that we will all gain benefit and learn something from my writings..
i would like to share a verse from the literal word of our Creator:
'Are you ordering people to be virtuous while forgetting it yourselves, even as you recite the Book? Will you not use your reason?'
(Quran, chapter 2:verse 44)
this is a beautiful verse out of the 6333 verses from the holy Quran reminding us
1)to practice what we preach
2)to use your mind and intellectual capacity to reason
So use your faculty of reasoning wisely..
think before you say or do something..
and do things for reasons
research and ponder
be neither fooled nor blinded
but live your life for a purpose
i've learned my purpose of life
